If you’ve ever experienced an incredible hands-on assist (sometimes called adjustment) in a yoga class, you know it can be the ‘light bulb moment’ that helped you truly understand the energy of a posture.
We believe offering students hands-on assists is both a sacred privilege and an art form. If you’re ready to take your knowledge, skill and confidence to the next level, this program will give you everything you need to excel at assisting. Learn how to help your students deepen their yoga practice through intentional touch, effective use of props, and self-care principles.
Learn the foundations of assisting and the progressive steps required to best support your student’s yoga practice, alignment, and comfort in your classes. Learn when NOT to give assists, and how to balance holding space for the whole group while also giving your presence to individuals.
Graduates will not only enhance their classes, but also gain added confidence for their private yoga sessions and specialized workshops.
Through experiential learning you will give and receive assists in a supportive learning environment, while being inspired by a greater understanding of the alignment and intention of each pose. Feel the deepening in your own personal practice, and the satisfaction that comes from giving safe, effective and transformational assists to your students.
