A powerful tribal style learning and performing experience for folks interested in the ancient art of world drumming, translating that into a rhythmic and explosive drum choir. Since before recorded time people all over the world have been drumming. We will make and learn our own compositions. Dedication, ability to handle a group dynamic and strong listening skills are absolute requirements for this program.
There are some instruments for use in the ensemble, please contact Tara to reserve in advance if you can’t rent one- subject to availability.
Long and McQuade rents Djembe’s & Conga’s which are suitable for this class if you don’t have a drum, around $20.00 a month. This is ideal, so that you don’t have to commit to an instrument until you have tried it.
