Give and receive an experience in love and touch this Valentine’s Day in a 4-hour introduction to Thai Yoga Massage for couples.
In this workshop we will learn and practice Thai Yoga Massage techniques that will help to relieve muscle tension and stress. You don’t need to have any yoga or massage experience to take this workshop, just be dressed in comfortable clothing that you can move in and dress in layers (you will cool down as you relax.)
Please bring along 2-3 blankets and 2 yoga mats (email Shannon@toneyoga.ca if you need the studio to supply these for you).
What is Thai Yoga Massage?
Thai Yoga Massage—also known as Thai Massage—provides a comprehensive full body massage that will leave you relaxed and balanced. This style of dynamic bodywork therapy, based on yoga and Ayurveda, relieves muscle tension, boosts the immune system, and improves the circulation.
During a Thai Yoga Massage, you will be guided through a series of yoga postures, as your practitioner uses palms and thumbs to stimulate your body’s energy lines. This combination of movement and pressure provides you with many amazing massage benefits.
Thai Yoga Massage is performed on a mat on the floor. Both the client and practitioner are fully dressed in comfortable clothing; this allows for ease of movement and flexibility. No oils or creams are used.
Shannon Crow is a yoga teacher and a Certified Thai Yoga Massage practitioner. She studied levels 1-6 with the Lotus Palm school in Montreal and has been giving Thai Massage for ten years.
