10-10:30am Kindermusik with Ariel Barkley
10:30-11am Stoller Walk with Shannon Crow
Cost: by donation (suggested donation of $10 or pay what you can)
We are excited and honoured to offer this very unique class focused on allowing for parents/caregivers and little ones to connect with each other while also connecting with other parents/caregivers through music and movement.
Areil will lead us through a 30 minute Babies and Music session, followed by a walk and optional lunch picnic hosted by Shannon.
This class is geared towards the older babies to toddler age. We will focus on infant stimulation through musical activities using dance and bells, shakers, and scarves. Ariel will also use some fine motor work with hands and feet and offer fun with words and songs for our toddlers.
We will then venture out into the sunshine, (weather permitting of course), and walk around town for the next 30 minutes. Shannon will share a walking meditation that can be used anytime to help to calm and relax our mind. We will then meet up at the newly renovated Bandstand, across from the library, for a picnic lunch. Please pack your own lunch if you intend to partake in this.
Ariel has been a music teacher for thirty years and has been teaching Kindermusik for about twenty years. She has combined both her own varied music experience with the Kindermusik program to form a unique “Babies and Music” fusion that offers fun, music, learning and a time for connection with family and community.
Kindermusik is a music and movement program for babies and young children; child development through music.
Shannon is a certified yoga teacher who has taken her 100-hour Children’s Yoga Teacher training. Shannon has a passion for prenatal and Baby and Me Yoga driven by her experience in how it has helped her with raising her own three children. Remembering the challenges of the infant/toddler time in her own life, Shannon would like to help others to find community and support through various activities.
REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED for this class, since space is limited for the music portion.
You can register either online www.toneyoga.ca or by email info@toneyoga.ca or by telephone 519-935-9905.
